Mr Hanisofian Alias Interim Chief Executive Officer

Mr Hanisofian Alias is the Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Halal Development Corporation (HDC), Malaysia’s leading agency for the development and advancement of the halal ecosystem. With more than two decades of experience spanning halal industry development, manufacturing, innovation, and public–private collaboration, he brings a strategic perspective that bridges policy, industry, and implementation within the global halal economy. Having served HDC for over 17 years in various senior leadership positions, Hanisofian has spearheaded initiatives in SME development, international collaboration, trade and investment facilitation, and industry growth. His extensive experience has contributed to strengthening Malaysia’s position as a global leader in the halal sector and advancing the competitiveness of halal businesses domestically and internationally. Hanisofian holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a degree in Engineering from the University of Manchester.
