Ybhg. Datu Dr. Adrian Susin Ambud Director of Department of Veterinary Services Sarawak (DVSS)

Datu Dr. Adrian Susin Ak Ambud is a senior veterinary professional with more than 31 years of experience in the Sarawak State Government. He has served as the Director of the Department of Veterinary Services Sarawak since January 2017, leading the state’s veterinary public health, animal disease control, food safety, and livestock development initiatives. He graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 1992 and also holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA). In addition, he completed professional training in Dairy Farming Industry Management in Japan and Meat & Poultry Inspection under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). He is a registered member of the Malaysian Veterinary Council (MVC No. 367). Throughout his career, he has held various leadership positions in veterinary health, livestock industry development, and enforcement across several divisions in Sarawak. He is also actively involved in food safety auditing programmes, including VHM, GMP, and MyGAP certifications. His mission is to eradicate Rabies and African Swine Fever (ASF) in Sarawak by 2030 while strengthening the state’s livestock industry growth and sustainability.
